Day 1: Dong Hoi - Trekking from “Neverwood” to “the Fairy Kingdom’s gate” (Hang En cave) - Overnight in tents

07:00: ACTIVETRAVEL ASIA’s caving guide picks up you from your hotel in Dong Hoi town. Our guide will summarize the tour plan on the way transferring to Phong Nha - Ke Bang national park. When reaching the forest’s edge, we stop, unload luggage and start the adventure on foot to Hang En cave - the key-gate to Fairy Kingdom - along with our experienced guide, porter(s) and a forest ranger.

11:30: We hike to Doong village, stop for picnic lunch and short rest before continuing the journey. From here, the trails is more demanding with up-and-down muddy, dirty paths. We will wade along the nice Rao Thuong stream in the final stage.

14:00: After overcome a hard route through the jungle, welcome you to the miracle land – Hang En cave that impresses you with unforgettable giant mouth 120m high.
 
Now you are truly AT a part of Neverland. As Peter PAN and Tiger Lily for the first time entering the cave to approach the “key-gate”, you will be amazed absolutely. You shortly recognize many corners shown in the movie such as the cave’s entrance, the jungle in front of it, sparkling stalactites, miraculous stone wall and fanciful space inside Hang En cave (view trailer here). And you will also see many speechless masterpieces which haven’t been shown up on screens yet. One of them is “sky wills” on Hang En’s dome (known as sinkholes). These skylights take sunshine deeply down to underground then reflect stalactites and the emerald lakes inside, forming a splendid space like a magic world. You also encounter hundreds of sleeping swallows. They nest on high on stone hallows. This is why the cave is named as “Hang En” (en: swallow; hang: cave)

Pitch tents, cook dinner and we will prepare for an overnight staying in “Neverland”.

18:00: We set a camp fire, sit around for dinner and chit chat. Going back to our childhood with never-end fairy tales while we are actually in a “magic land” is definitely unforgettable moments.

Day 2: Wake up in Neverland - Turn back Dong Hoi town

Good morning in Neverland! This day you will wake up in a peaceful, magical, splendid scenery: mist covers over horizon that forms dew falling down like rain. Do you feel that Tinkle Bell is around with fairy dust and her tiny lovely wings?

Going back to the reality, our tour guide will prepare the breakfast and collect our things for leaving. Please do not leave anything behind but your footprints.

Trekking on the same trail toward Doong village to have lunch and rest, then keeping on walking to the jungle’s edge, saying good bye to Neverland and driving back Dong Hoi town.
